"Little Town on the Prairie": Town's of Humboldt Couty Part 1 Program Series!

Join us for our 2023 program series this season featuring four towns of the county: Bradgate, Hardy, Pioneer, and Thor! This program series is partnered with the 2023 seasonal display "Little Town on the Prairie": Towns of Humboldt County Part 1. Admission is $5.00 for adults over 18, children 18 and under are FREE. Check out the dates and towns below!

"Tragedy in a Little Town": Murder Mystery!

"COME QUICK! MR. WHITE IS DEAD!" exclaimed Ms. White outside their mercantile. Mr. White, a well-loved business man in Humboldt, is lying behind his counter....dead...

Join us for a thrilling night and find the culprit who murdered Mr. White! Was it Ms. White, the hysteric wife? Or was it the competition down the street? Tickets are $10.00 per person. Attire is 1800s small town attire for anyone who would like to dress up in costume! Tickets go on sale starting April 1st. Get them while you can and solve the murder of the century!

NOTE: This event is for ages 15 and up.

"Little House on the Prairie": Children's Program

Have you ever wondered how life was like in 19th century Humboldt? Was it like Laura Ingalls Wilder's experience in her book Little Town on the Prairie? Join us for a fun children's program where we compare Wilder's experience to early Humboldt citizens and find out! To register, fill out the form below or call 515-604-6980. Registration begins May 1st! Registration fee is FREE for any child who wants to attend.

NOTE: This program is for children ages 7 to 18. Parents or guardians are encouraged to join their child for the program if they wish!

"Little Town School":Schoolhouse Program 2023!

Have you ever wanted to step back in time and go to a school in a small prairie town? Register for the schoolhouse program and find out! This years theme is all about schools in prairie towns of the county! Students will learn how schools changed from one-room schoolhouses to the schools we know today. Registration begins June 1st. Registration is FREE to hang child between the ages of 7 and 12! Fill out the form below to register or call 515-604-6980.

Fall Festival 2023!

Celebrate the fall season with a trip back in time to the prairie days of the county! Enjoy demonstrates of the prairie trades, vendors, food, games, and more. Admission is $10.00 for adults over 18 and children 18 and under are FREE!

Time: 12:00pm to 4:00pm

"Tragedy on the Farm": Murder Mystery!

Something is a foot at the Museum! Some one is dead and some one knows who did it. Come out and solve the murder of the century this October! Tickets are $10.00 per person. Ticket sales begin September 1st. More information will be released at a later date.
